2021 PBA DRAFT

2021 Pro Basketball Association Draft Lottery

“Showtime” Carter goes #1 Overall in the 2021 PBA Draft to Texas Takeover!

Showtime Carter goes #1 overall in the 2021 PBA Draft

Texas Takeover 1 Davene Carter 6’7 SF/PF/C Dallas, TX. Showtime as he’s known is a World Class Athlete having spent time as a professional playing for the Harlem Globetrotters. Showtime has been on the ESPN produced Dunk King show and has no issues getting his chin on top of the rim. Some of what makes him an interesting prospect is he was mostly a pick and roll finisher at NCAA2 Tarleton State but he has developed his game to include Small Forward skills on the perimeter with 3 point range, ball handling ability, and the undeniably valuable asset of being able to defend all 5 positions on the floor. He’s a quick twitch athlete that may have been a late bloomer. Showtime has played professionally in Spain.

It’s SHOWTIME!!!!! Davene “Showtime” Carter goes #1 Overall to Texas Takeover
6’6 SG Mike Liabo goes #2 Overall to the Rochester Razorsharks

Rochester Razorsharks 2 Mike Liabo 6’6 SG Florida. Mike has played all over the World including a stop over in Spain. He’s small forward size but plays the game like a point guard. He rebounds like a forward but handles the ball and passes like a lead the league in assists type player. Unique talent, the lefty has 3 point range and plays with a vet savvy that is sure to show results in the win column for the Razorsharks. His team at the Rochester PBA Draft Combine featured several top picks in this draft including his future teammate at 5th overall.

Josh Blamon goes #3 Overall to the Peacemakers

Pennsylvania Peacemakers 3 Josh Blamon 6’3 PG/SG Cinnamonson, NJ. Josh has experience playing in the NBA G-League and has a very strong frame for a guard. He’s a mismatch nightmare for opponents because he has the handle and explosiveness out on the perimeter where you need your fleet of foot smaller framed guard to cut him off but he’s powerfully built and can over power at the point of attack. Bigger wings struggle to stay in front of him. His first step is electric. Laterally elite and puts time in the weight room. Josh wasn’t able to attend the draft combine but registered earlier in the process and good thing he did. Teams that scouted his video whispered about possible NBA prospects. Elite guard goes to the Peacemakers.

Mo Benson goes 4 overall – Shown here at the Dallas PBA Draft Combine

Buffalo Blaze 4 Maurice Benson 6’1 PG Michigan. Mo is an experience vet at the lead guard spot. He played his college ball at Indiana Tech and has experience playing for Lake Michigan in the minor league PBL. Many thought Mo was the top guard at the Dallas PBA Draft Combine. He defends, he’s tough, he talks, he’s a vet, he can make shots, he runs a team. Very solid pick up for the Buffalo Blaze.

Josue Celestin goes #5 Overall to the Rochester Razorsharks

Rochester Razorsharks 5 Josue Celestin 6’7 PF/C Florida. Josue showed off his gravity defying moves at the Rochester PBA Draft Combine and the Razorsharks waste no time taking both him and his teammate at the combine Mike Liabo as both go in the top 5. Josue jumps way over the rim, runs the floor like a guard, and defends every position on the floor.

He has fluid movements on the perimeter and has put a lot of work into his game. He handles enough to play the lead guard spot but looks like a go to scorer at the 2 spot as he’s crafty getting into his shot and puts the ball in the basket from 3 and mid-range.

Macari Brooks goes #8 Overall to Maywood Warriors

Maywood Warriors 8 Macari Brooks 6’3 Guard Chicago Heights, IL. Macari has pro playing experience in El Salvador scoring 23ppg and in Nicaragua where he averaged 18ppg. 6’7 F Colin Jones goes #9

Rochester Razorsharks 9 Colin Jones 6’7 PF Holt, MI. Colin really wowed everyone at the Dallas PBA Draft Combine. Big body 6’7 that is still physically developing at 280lbs but has guard skills as he can put the ball on the floor and creates mismatches all over the court. Big men can’t stay in front of him and guards that may have the lateral quickness on the perimeter to cut off his path get overwhelmed when he takes them inside. Still developing but this big guy has a big future in Rochester.
