Pro Basketball Association Combine and Draft

Who: The Pro Basketball Association is a 21 week Spring-Summer Pro basketball league played domestically Nationwide. If you want pro, you want the PBA.

What: League Pro Combine where players will demonstrate their ability to contribute to a pro basketball team in the PBA – Every team in the league will have 2 draft selections plus free agent signings. YouTube will host both rounds of the 2021 PBA Draft. We expect half of the players that attend will be picked up by a team in the Pro Basketball Association. There is no salary cap. As a domestic minor league, salaries are typically basic. It’s more about the opportunity to showcase your ability and receive scouting for overseas openings, NBA G-League, and are positioned to do so with a platform based on complete box scores, hyperlinked player profile pages, complete game videos attached to the stat sheets and a network of domestic and International scouts looking to help players get on to the next level!

The Pro Basketball Association Draft will be held online with league management and staff and a representative from each team on April 10th at 3pm CST by league zoom meeting. National Director of League Operations David Day and your Regional Director for each division will be inviting you to the league created zoom beginning on Friday for the Saturday Draft. Each team will be given a selection in each round of the two round draft (unless traded).

Should a team not be present in the online draft, and isn’t available to make their selection, they will be placed at the end of the round we’re in. Should they not be present again their selections will be chosen last by the league and players placed on their roster. Every player that is drafted will be given the opportunity to report to training camp. Salary, other compensation, housing availability, costs of travel and anything else associated with the draft pick will be negotiable by and between the team and the player and/or his representation. There is no salary cap. Should the player and the team not come to an agreement, the player will become a free agent two weeks after the draft on April 24th at 5pm CST. It is the responsibility of the team to waive the player in that time and notify the league, in writing by email, in order to prevent said player from taking one of your allowed roster spots. Tampering with players during this negotiation period is frowned upon and considered cheating and the team could be fined up to an amount not to exceed $500. Any communication with players drafted by another team is considered tampering. Should the player contact you please notify the league immediately and do not enter into any type of discussion in regards to salary or compensation with a player drafted by another team.
