Temple Hawks join the Pro Basketball Association

The PBA has announced that the Temple Hawks have been awarded a franchise for the 2021 Pro Basketball Association Spring-Summer season. Team owner Alton Nicholson has been instrumental in putting Temple on the map in the State hoop scene and now he’s taking them National.

Temple, Texas is located about halfway between Austin and Waco and for players from that area to have an opportunity to take their games to a higher level it takes an organization willing to travel and play on a bigger stage. There is a lot of high level players in the Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple areas. They have zero problems putting together a team that can win games a high level from those areas and Austin and Waco but to play other teams of their caliber requires being willing to go to Austin, go to Dallas, go to Houston, go to San Antonio and a leader like Nicholson is what helps so many have the platform to reach that next level. The Temple Hawks will play in the Dallas bubble format in Lewisville, Texas (suburb in North Dallas) in the PBA beginning in May.

Players, coaches, scouts, team managers, owners and agents will be convening at the MAC on April 3rd for the PBA Pro Combine and Draft. The Pro Basketball Association aims to bring professionalism, organization, and a platform that highlights the abilities of it’s players and coaches for overseas opportunity and as such one of the highest levels of pro basketball domestically outside of the NBA. David Day joins PBA as VP – National Director League Operations

Memphis, TN – David Day has been announced by the Pro Basketball Association as the National Director – League Operations. David’s primary scope is working with teams Nationally in the classic format on the upcoming schedule, facilities, league operations as it relates to collecting analytics from the games, video, coordinating travel and day to day working with the teams of the association.

David is originally from Montgomery Alabama where he attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). He has been residing in Memphis Tennessee for the last 40 years involved in coaching and was the commissioner and founder of the Memphis Defender League. This league consisted of former college and pro players from the NBA to overseas. He is also the Deputy Commissioner with the MBL (Maximum Basketball League), having recently joined in an alliance with the PBA.

The PBA has two different formats available for their teams. In a bubble format the clubs in a region go to one location and play all their games where the league provides all aspects of game day operations. In a classic format, teams play a standard home and away schedule where the home team is responsible for all game day operations but the league works with them to help facilitate technology and aid in certain aspects of gathering data, statistics, and full game video, creating player profiles linked through the box score etc. David will help those classic format teams in those regards and as such will help the league Nationally to have uniformity as it relates to a professional image and organization that helps not only in the promotion of it’s players and coaches, but also with, in its ability to secure larger sponsors.

Lenell Watson

New Star of the PBA – Lenell Watson of the Chicago Angels

5th quarter Nation by Jasmine M. Brown

When you speak about Star players they have to have a swag, a certain pizzazz to their game and that’s exactly what 22yr old Lenell Watson has as he’s currently known as the best finisher in the minor leagues with his high flying dunks and acrobatic layups around the rim. He’s currently playing for the Chicago Angels and averaging 24.7ppg, 6rpg, 6spg and last week he exploded for a career high 48pts, 7rebs, and 6stls.

Lenell Watson is an athletic 6’3 shooting guard played at perspectives Calumet High in Chicago where he had a very good High School career but the colleges weren’t knocking down the door for whatever reason, so Lenell took his talents to Lavar Ball’s JBA league for young men who wanted to turn pro right out of High School. Now Watson will be taking on his next challenge of being the mega star in the Professional Basketball Association. EVERYBODY GET YOUR POPCORN READY BECAUSE THIS KID IS MUST SEE T.V .

Texas Revelation add 6’6 Forward Jason Smith

Woah! Watch out! Texas Revelation of the PBA means business!
Jason Smith signs with the Texas Revelation of the  Pro Basketball Association. Smith is a solid 6’6 forward that isn’t afraid to mix it up. This man means business and he’ll tear the rim down when he needs to. The Revelation announced two other signings last week with DK Eldridge and TJ Maston and Jason is another pro’s pro that just knows how to win. He’s physical and aggressive and will rebound and defend but what makes Smith special is that warrior mentality. He wants it more than his opponent more often than not and will put his body on the line to get his team the win.

The Texas Revelation will be hosting a team tryout and info is on their website at www.texasrevelation.com – The PBA league combine is in Rochester NY on March 27 and April 3 in Lewisville TX – more info on those at www.pbaplayers.com

The Texas Revelation sign DK Eldridge and Terry Maston for PBA season

Dallas, TX – The Texas Revelation of the Pro Basketball Association have announced reaching an agreement with DK Eldridge and Terry Maston for the 2021 PBA season. The team has important information about their upcoming tryouts at www.texasrevelation.com by clicking on “Tryouts”. Building around these two guys, expect the Revelation to be one of the most feared teams in the PBA this season.

DK Eldridge 6’3″ is an elite two-way guard from New Mexico State that has had a lot of success overseas professionally. Eldridge played for Frayles de Guasave in the CIBACOPA averaging 16.2ppg on 56%FG. He plays hard and is athletic and will play physical and helps a team in so many areas. After his rookie season in Guasave he then went on to the LNBP where he averaged 22PPG for Correcaminos de Victoria. He’s also played at a super high level abroad for Navolato, Beograd in Serbia where he played in the high level European league of the Adriatic. Libya in the Middle East for Benghazi, and averaged 17.4ppg for the Dallas Skyline in the TBL last season. DK is currently playing at an elite level for the Revelation and owner Cree Hallman in the Maximum Basketball League.

Terry Maston is a beast. 6’8 260 and some of the quickest feet you’ll find in a big man. He’s got all the toe taps and twists and turns and head fakes around the basket of a seasoned NBA level big man. He’s got a super soft touch around the basket and can step out and knock down the NBA 3. Great face up, great post moves…. he’s a problem! Maston was the 6th man of the Year in the Big-12 Conference helping lead Baylor University. The borderline NBA draft pick candidate has had success in the NBA G-League for the Clippers and destroyed NBL Canada’s top league as a consistent 20/10 monster in the middle. Maston is also coming back to the team having been playing for the Revelation in the MBL. Maximum Basketball League.

“These are two of the players that truly represent the level of competition in the PBA. I had the opportunity to coach these guys last season and I will tell anyone who asks, NBA level or Overseas, these young men are top caliber guys and should be making a lot of money to play the game. They are both extremely special and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to bring attention to their game and give them a platform they can stand on with the PBA that will do exactly that – get them in a position where the driver picks them up from the hotel and takes them to practice, where finances is no longer a concern because they are that type of level of players and people.” PBA Commissioner – Chris Terrell
