Chicago, IL – The Pro Basketball Association has announced that the Chicago Black Angels have joined the PBA for the 2021 season. Owners Don Johnson and Marquis Brown and the Chicago Black Angels are a top notch organization and have been instrumental in bringing high level pro basketball to the windy city.

Chicago, on Lake Michigan in Illinois, is among the largest cities in the United States. Famed for it’s bold architecture, it has a skyline punctuated by skyscrapers such as the John Hancock Center, 1,451-ft Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and the Neo-Gothic Tribune Tower. Just as big as the city is for the US, Chicago pro basketball is best known for it’s Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan helped take the game to another level in the early 90’s helping the Bulls capture 6 NBA Championships.

Owners Don Johnson and Marquis Brown are positioning themselves, and the PBA, to be the highest level of the sport in one of the Nation’s largest cities, outside of the NBA and NBA G-League Windy City Bulls. In addition to the Chicago Angels, the ownership duo is also bringing a 2nd organization to the 2nd city as the Chicago Angels. Their business model will consist of a partial bubble format where visiting organizations in the Midwest division will be able to play both of their teams at one facility that will be host to many scheduled Pro Basketball Association games this season. By co-branding and sharing in marketing efforts together, they’ll help lower costs and increase revenue for their organization. It’s a win-win for the PBA and for the city of Chicago.
