Opening Night in the PBA

Dothan, Alabama – The Dothan Snipers hosted the Montgomery Knights on Sunday May 1st, 2022 in front of a standing room only audience. The atmosphere was electric and the fire marshall was brought in to make sure gym capacity standards were met. The City of Dothan Mayor was also in attendance and saw a terrific game. Mongomery, on the road, played Dothan down the wire in a classic battle of wills due in large part to their full court trapping defense. But the hometown Snipers behind 24 points from Tre Jackson and some key free throws down the stretch did enough to hold on and win 87-86 and thrill those in attendance. Dothan is a first year expansion to the PBA and the area has gotten behind the home team in a big way. Dothan will now take their game to Columbus to take on the Georgia Vipers on Saturday.
