Dallas, Texas – The Pro Basketball Association has announced that Ultra Instinct has been awarded a franchise in the PBA for this coming Spring-Summer Season. Team owner David Hargrow has owned teams prior and played locally in leagues such as the Rockwall league, Grapevine, Mansfield, and in the TJ League under the team name “The Humans”.
Ultra Instinct will play in the bubble format held this Summer at the MAC in Lewisville, Texas featuring teams from all over North Texas including teams like the North Texas Prowlers, the F.I.R.M., DFW Just Hoops, Prymetyme, North Texas Saints, Texas Tsunami, Texas Hyenas, Dallas Kings, HoopGoon, DFW Powerhouse, Texas Admirals, Temple Hawks and Waco Terror among others. The bubble is a unique format to minor league basketball in which the participating organizations share in the game day operations costs involved with hosting a high level pro game at one facility. Covid protocols are in place and the league is able to oversee all aspects such as facility, referees, table staffing, video and full 20 category box scores, a graphics artist for promotion, door and gameday operations staffing, the book, the clock, a photographer, a DJ to give the fans an NBA experience for $5 for kids and $10 for adults. Players and coaches are accessible for media availability and will take time to meet and greet the fans after the game, sign autographs for the kids. It’s a way to do it pro and take your whole family to the game for a fun entertaining experience. We have concessions, a restaurant, seating, sponsor involvement, it’s something special that you really don’t find at this level.
The “PRO” part of the Pro Basketball Association in the bubble? Teams vie for the door as the winner will take a 50% take of all attendance proceeds. We expect the top clubs will be paid handsomely to win games on Sunday nights and when you combine that with not having the operating costs of travel or the costs of hosting a game themselves it just makes it a no-brainer when compared to playing in another league.
