Dallas, TX – The Texas Hyenas announced today they had joined the Pro Basketball Association and will play a Spring-Summer season with the pro league beginning with a Pro combine and draft held in Dallas in April. The Hyenas have a successful track record of producing top level talent and have been a major player on the minor league scene for some time now.
Team owner Jerry Thompson said “We were approached about playing in several different leagues and after reviewing everything with our partnership group we decided that we really liked what the Pro Basketball Association has to offer”.
PBA Commissioner Chris Terrell about the Hyenas said “Jerry and his guys are first class all the way. You can see the way they promote their brand, the team apparel, the professionalism, they just do it right. We’re excited about having the Texas Hyenas represented in the league and know they’ll put a great product on the court.”
