North Texas Saints join the Pro Basketball Association

The North Texas Saints have been awarded a franchise in the Pro Basketball Association. Team Owner Kimberly Greene after attending Middle Tennessee State joined the Air Force where she not only served for 14 years but also played for 9 years at multiple base/post installations. Pursuing her love of the game and giving back she has been coaching for 15 years, 11 of which have been at the minor league professional levels. Kimberly is the only female coach to be inducted into the Military Basketball Hall of Fame. The induction to the Hall of Fame was in 2019 and she earned that distinction a member of the first class.

“Kimberly Greene joins Cree Hallman, Jen Moore, Desiree Bromley, Kimberly Meadows-Clark, Chakiea Jackson, Monique Lopez, and Kim Corpus as female owners and C.E.O.’s of professional basketball teams in the PBA. The percentage of not only women but people of color in league management and team ownership in the Pro Basketball Association is something we’re really proud of. We are a league of diversity that collectively works together as a part of an Association to make a difference to not only the players on our teams but also in the community at large in which we serve. Kimberly Greene embodies that spirit. Having come from a strong military background and accomplished so much in her career, she really prides herself on giving back to the community. Also, in being a mentor to these young men. In helping to create opportunities for them to continue their education and to pursue opportunities abroad on the professional level overseas.”

Commissioner – Chris Terrell
