Missouri Program Select joins the Pro Basketball Association

Springfield, Missouri – The Pro Basketball Association announced on Thursday that the Missouri Program Select had been awarded a franchise for the 2021 PBA Spring-Summer Season. Owners Thomas Holloman and Kobe Holloman, both from Springfield, Missouri, will make up a terrific Father and Son team in the Pro Basketball Association.

Thomas is a business entrepreneur and former College athlete. He has coached AAU for 20 years and managed over 70 teams! He has extensive experience as a Tournament Director and is also a Health Care Provider. His son Kobe also is a entrepreneur and former College athlete who also like his Dad is a Health Care Provider. The Holloman men have been working together with the AAU program for years, so Kobe has grown up in the business of basketball.

“Every once in awhile you get a chance to speak with guys that just are a perfect fit for what you’re attempting to accomplish as a league” says Chris Terrell – PBA Commissioner. “Thomas and Kobe have been ingrained in the community in Springfield for years and Thomas has 2 decades of experience running huge tournaments and has 70 teams. They both come from the medical field and make it their mission before on and off the basketball court to make a difference in people’s lives. There has got to be some 500 plus families in Springfield that know these men to of been there for their kids. A lot of those kids have grown up over the last 20 years to be incredibly talented basketball players in the City of Springfield that is known to be a hotbed for basketball.”

“Every aspect of owning an organization from organizing facility, and coordinating extremely large groups for travel, and just being around hundreds of kids that grew up to be high level adult basketball players hungry to play at the next level…. wow! Perfect! The community loves these guys and they’re making a difference and offering now, with this venture, a celebration for Springfield that everyone can embrace. The father and son part of this story really adds another heartfelt dimension. If I’m in Missouri, Kansas, or Arkansas…. anywhere near the heart of USA in general and want to go play for someone in an area that will support this team – Missouri Program Select in Springfield has got to be super high on my shortlist. This is why I love this game!” PBA Commissioner Chris Terrell

The Pro Basketball Association 2021 PBA Pro Combine and Draft will be held in two locations beginning with 3/27 in Rochester, New York and then 4/3 in Dallas, Texas. With pending announcements the PBA will have a minimum of 48 teams (From Seattle to New York City and everywhere in between – America) in the two round draft which means 96 draft eligible players will become a part of the Pro Basketball Association. Players and/or their representation is encouraged to email profile/video to [email protected] or visit Pro Basketball Association Combine and Draft – Pro Basketball Association (pbaplayers.com) or follow FB/IG @probasketballassociation

North Texas Prowlers join the Pro Basketball Association

Argyle, Texas – The Pro Basketball Association announced on Thursday that the North Texas Prowlers had joined the PBA for the 2021 Spring-Summer Season. Team owner Heath Tipton is a minor league pro, having successfully fielded teams in the MBL and ABA, among others. The Prowlers are a well respected organization, led by Head Coach Terry Williams and Assistant Ezell Craft, the Prowlers have a terrific team that will be competing in the Texas bubble where clubs share in game day costs such as facility, referees, operations, stats, video, DJ all at one North Texas location, the MAC, played Sunday nights from May until August.

Already slated to be in uniform for the Prowlers this PBA season include: 6’4 Guard Brandon Fields, 6’0 Guard Tay Merriwether, 6’6 Forward Ty Thomas, 6’9 Forward Dayton Mickens, 6’7 F/C Jonathan Durley, 6’5 Forward Sean McCary, 6’3 Guard Chris Bibbs, 6’3 Guard Myron Taylor, and 6’10 Center Ernest Vannorsdell. The Prowlers still have two draft picks in the upcoming PBA draft held after two National combines but they’re stacked.

Brandon Fields is an electric scoring combo guard capable of spending time at 1 or 2 that can create out of pick and roll and starred for the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League where he averaged 10ppg and 6apg just this past season including successive 25 point plus performances in back to back games with 26 points against the Sacramento Kings affiliate in Stockton followed up by 27 the following game against the Golden State Warriors G-League affiliate Santa Cruz two nights later. Santa Cruz had Jeremy Pargo in uniform in their back court trying to slow down Fields and the former NBA guard had his hands full. Stockton had Isaiah Canaan at guard when they matched up with Fields and Canaan who averaged 13ppg for the Philadelphia 76ers is another super high level player.

6’4 Guard – Brandon Fields has played in Lithuania, Ukraine, Italy, and extensively in the NBA G-League for multiple NBA teams including Mavericks, Clippers, and Jazz among others

Putting Fields experience into context helps outline how good of a player this really is for the Pro Basketball Association. The whole roster is high level, high power. Shooters, scorers, high flyers. Tay can run the squad and take pressure off of Fields. Ty Thomas is an experienced stretch forward with NBA range and experience in the top leagues in Mexico. “Bama” Mickens is a matchup nightmare at 6’9 and a face up and step out kind of game that is hard to defend with his length. Vanorsdell covers the rim and changes everything on the interior defensively… they’re the real deal. Get ready PBA! This isn’t your typical rec level semi-pro league ladies and gentlemen.

If you want Pro – You want the PBA

The Pro Basketball Association from it’s inception put people in position around the league that come from high level backgrounds. PBA National Director of Scouting Antoine Broxsie is a current NBA coach in the Houston Rockets organization. Laselle Taylor is the International Scouting Director for Mexico and has coached in all the top leagues down there for 4 decades. Eric Carr is a proven overseas coach in the Middle East. Zoran Milovic the same for Eastern Europe. Samir St. Clair coached in Japan and the Middle East and is the PBA Scouting Director for Japan. League Deputy Commissioner Ricky Benitez coached all over the World including the top league in Venezuela, Mexico, and in International tournaments in Chile, Hungary, and China and currently serves as advisor for Latin America. PBA Commissioner Chris Terrell coached in the CBA, the top league in China, with multiple first round NBA draft picks playing for him as well as a decade and a half overseas in Europe, Latin America, Canada, the D-League, etc. The Pro Basketball Association has scouting directors set up all over the World with top level agents in Countries like France, Australia, Argentina, and Austria to name a few. When a league puts an emphasis like that, the way it has, it’s bound to attract top level talent and help get that talent on to higher levels domestically and internationally. If you want Pro – You want the PBA.

The Pro Basketball Association 2021 Pro Combine and Draft will be held in two locations beginning with 3/27 in Rochester, New York and then 4/3 in Dallas, Texas. With pending announcements the PBA will have a minimum of 42 teams (From Seattle to New York City and everywhere in between – America) in the two round draft which means 84 draft eligible players will become a part of the Pro Basketball Association. Wilson makes equipment for many sports, among them baseball, badminton, American football, basketball, fastpitch softball, golf, racquetball, soccer, squash, tennis, pickleball and volleyball. Wilson is currently also the Official basketball of the NBA.

“We wanted quality. Wilson is the official ball of the NBA and I have always been a big fan of the Evolution. The wide channel grip is excellent. I love it off the hand. We were approached by several manufacturers but I just kept going back to Wilson to work something out. I am really happy with the way the ball came out. The PBA logo looks great and the guys at Wilson were really good to work with. It looks nice but what really sold us on Wilson is the feel. Some things you look at and some things you put in your hands and you just know if it feels right. Our relationship with Wilson just feels right. Were looking forward to having Wilson front and center in our gyms across America this season in the PBA.” Chris Terrell – PBA Commissioner

I’ve led teams in China CBA and Europe and Latin America and Canada and the D-League. To say we’re loaded is an understatement. There is no team like this one period and Diego now in Argentina. The Texas Revelation sign DK Eldridge and Terry Maston for PBA season

Dallas, TX – The Texas Revelation of the Pro Basketball Association have announced reaching an agreement with DK Eldridge and Terry Maston for the 2021 PBA season. The team has important information about their upcoming tryouts at www.texasrevelation.com by clicking on “Tryouts”. Building around these two guys, expect the Revelation to be one of the most feared teams in the PBA this season.

DK Eldridge 6’3″ is an elite two-way guard from New Mexico State that has had a lot of success overseas professionally. Eldridge played for Frayles de Guasave in the CIBACOPA averaging 16.2ppg on 56%FG. He plays hard and is athletic and will play physical and helps a team in so many areas. After his rookie season in Guasave he then went on to the LNBP where he averaged 22PPG for Correcaminos de Victoria. He’s also played at a super high level abroad for Navolato, Beograd in Serbia where he played in the high level European league of the Adriatic. Libya in the Middle East for Benghazi, and averaged 17.4ppg for the Dallas Skyline in the TBL last season. DK is currently playing at an elite level for the Revelation and owner Cree Hallman in the Maximum Basketball League.

Terry Maston is a beast. 6’8 260 and some of the quickest feet you’ll find in a big man. He’s got all the toe taps and twists and turns and head fakes around the basket of a seasoned NBA level big man. He’s got a super soft touch around the basket and can step out and knock down the NBA 3. Great face up, great post moves…. he’s a problem! Maston was the 6th man of the Year in the Big-12 Conference helping lead Baylor University. The borderline NBA draft pick candidate has had success in the NBA G-League for the Clippers and destroyed NBL Canada’s top league as a consistent 20/10 monster in the middle. Maston is also coming back to the team having been playing for the Revelation in the MBL. Maximum Basketball League.

“These are two of the players that truly represent the level of competition in the PBA. I had the opportunity to coach these guys last season and I will tell anyone who asks, NBA level or Overseas, these young men are top caliber guys and should be making a lot of money to play the game. They are both extremely special and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to bring attention to their game and give them a platform they can stand on with the PBA that will do exactly that – get them in a position where the driver picks them up from the hotel and takes them to practice, where finances is no longer a concern because they are that type of level of players and people.” PBA Commissioner – Chris Terrell

Pro Basketball Association on CBS, FOX, and NBC

(UPDATE: Story was picked up Nationally by NBC, FOX, and CBS)

(UPDATE: Story picked up Nationally by CBS, FOX, and NBC)

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Pro Basketball Association Commissioner Chris Terrell.

PBA Commissioner Chris Terrell

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Almost 20 years ago I was a Men’s College Basketball Coach and a local Semi-Pro team called the Dallas Diesel. They asked if I would be interested in working with their team. I became the Head Coach and we played against a team in the USBL called the Brevard Blue Ducks in Florida. I used the full game video and box scores from two games to create a website showing the players and the games along with their profiles or where they had played collegiately to help secure a position to become a Head Coach in the Mexican Pro League of CIBACOPA where three of the players from that team came with me to play professionally.

Over the next 16 years, I’ve been blessed to be able to coach at the highest levels including the top pro league in China (CBA) as well as 2 years in FIBA Europe, 7 years in Latin American Pro leagues, NBL Canada, and many of the US based domestic minor leagues such as NBA D-League (now the G-League) ABA finalist, deputy commissioner of the World Basketball Association, MBL, TBL, and been a writer for the Eurobasket network for 16 years.

I credit the incredible men that have played for me and the managers and coaching staffs that helped us to many league awards, all-star games, team accomplishments and recognition throughout the years. To God be all the glory.

NBC 21 – Youngstown, OH

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Working my way up one season at a time and one team at a time over many years took a lot of work and a lot of support from my family. There were years of development and financially growing in the sport at the professional level abroad that took sacrifice and commitment.

There are other careers that could of been more financially rewarding, but I stuck with it and had my wife’s support, raising two children when I was in another Country for some seasons that can extend to nine months of a year. Hundreds of phone calls and messages and husband and Father Time on Skype. It wasn’t always fun and games. The packed arenas, game results, and media notoriety pales in compassion to the solitude of being on the road for months at a time, year after year, for as long as I did it. But it was a blessing and something I’ll never forget the people I met and know and experiences I had along the way.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m now the Commissioner of the Pro Basketball Association. It’s a Spring-Summer US Domestic Minor League. I’m surrounded by people that understand the business of basketball and we’ve modeled ourselves after the A-AA levels of minor league baseball in that there are professional standards, practices, and requirements to be a part of the association for teams that ensure every step is taken to highlight the playing and coaching abilities of those in our league.

We keep complete box scores from every game attached to a full game video where the players on each roster are displayed and linked to their individual player profiles. We’re working with Sportspress Pro and the Eurobasket network to display that data and video to over 76 Countries around the World so that the players and coaches in the league have an opportunity to use their experience in the PBA to move up to some of the higher levels of professional basketball Globally. This along with professionalism, being organized in our business practices, and working to make a difference in the communities we serve is what makes the PBA different.

The time of year we play is key as well. By April most Pro Basketball players are returning from Overseas and looking for an opportunity that will highlight their abilities leading up to the NBA Summer Leagues, G-League workouts, and then the signing period to go back overseas in the Fall.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Have a plan and work the plan. If you have an end goal of where you want to get to professionally then think about that goal and then plan out the hundreds of steps that it takes to get there. Map each one of those steps back to where you are today. Write it down. Be willing to be held accountable to your road map to success and challenge yourself on a regular basis to see that you’re checking off each step of the ladder along the way.

It takes hard work. Sacrifice. A strong family unit behind you and a strong faith that you will accomplish your goals if you are relentless and persistent and don’t give up!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is being secure in your faith, stable in your home, and respected by your peers. If someone has that and puts the work in, good things are sure to manifest themselves in life.

What’s next for you?

We’re looking to expand the Pro Basketball Association to the continuous 48 States and to be widely considered as the top Spring-Summer Pro Basketball League in the United States.

A big part of the mission statement for the Pro Basketball Association is to be that A-AA level of pro basketball that becomes a factory of high level players and coaches for opportunities professionally abroad but also a feeder program to the NBA G-League and the NBA.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
